Woburn Case Study
Our client is a world class golf club set within the beautiful Woburn Estate.
They had a requirement for a multi-purpose building, comprising workshops, offices, canteen and welfare facilities and storage over two floors.
They approached LGS after seeing some marketing we had done, following the construction of a similar building for Lutterworth Golf Club.
Working with the Course Manager, MD, the Woburn Estate property team and their architects, we designed the building using one of our bespoke cold rolled frames, and fully insulated Tata composite panels. British made high quality 3 phase industrial roller doors, windows, PA and fire escape doors, all with shutters completed the spec. The client wanted a turnkey solution, so we introduced a contractor to act as PC and look after groundworks, drainage, fit out and M&E.
The client’s team visited a recently completed project of ours, and costs were put forward for the entire scheme.
The project represented a substantial seven figure investment, so the client’s architects issued a tender. Our team were successful in securing the project, and we delivered a superb facility which we are proud to have been part of.
The cladding, doors, windows and steel frame manufacture and erection by LGS was a key part of our Welfare facility construction project. From the initial conversations, LGS suggested utilising a cold rolled steel frame with excellent insulated cladding, which makes our working area a warm, safe and dry environment to undertake our duties. LGS introduced us to the principal contractor who brought the project together and we were very happy to bring everything in on time, on budget and with a higher finish level than originally expected. Having occupied the building in early 2026, we are hopeful of a long and productive lifespan, fitting for a building with this quality of manufacture and installation.
