Storage Building in the Scottish Borders
Our client is a textile mill on the banks of the River Tweed, known around the world for its tweed, pure cashmeres and other luxury woven fabrics.
As part of their continued expansion, they needed more warehouse space at their headquarters.
They approached LGS, and we first met them at a similar project we had completed in North Yorkshire.
They are used to manufacturing excellence in their own business, so they had a real eye for detail and quality. They liked what they saw and asked us to take the project on.
The site was right on the riverbank and formed part of the customer car park. It was vital that their manufacturing and retail operations could continue uninterrupted, and that the building went up with minimal disruption to neighbouring houses and businesses.
Our cold rolled steel frame needs no heavy plant and far less groundwork, so we could build on that tight riverside site while the mill and shop kept trading. The building went up in under two weeks.
The new warehouse gives one of the area’s most established companies room to keep growing.
If your business has to keep running while you build, get in touch with LGS and discover how we can work together.
